Mountain bike, time trial, and road racing seasons are winding down (don’t worry, ‘cross is coming!!) and results from the final races are zooming in…

EE MTBers have been doing well  on both coasts. Out west, Ben Shaklee was able to overcome a catastrophic 22min off-course detour and come back to finish 2nd in the singlespeed category, 9th overall.

On the east coast, Chris Garrati took 3rd at the Hardcore 24 race, finishing with a 16 lap total.

At the Windham pro XCT U23 race, Nick Lando fights back from a last row start to an incredible 7th place finish in a stacked field. In another stacked field, later that day, Laura Slavin was able to battle some tough competition in the women’s UCI pro race and land a 15th place finish, a career high. The following week, Slavin would battle through dropped chains, torrential rain, and muddy course conditions for a 2nd place finish in the pro race at MASS’s French Creek XC.

Rounding it all out, Piotr Bilik took 5th place in his race at Belleayre Mountain.

Moving over to our road racers – Jason Roberts was 10th in the field sprint at the ToL crit this week.Grayson Church WINS at Page Valley RR and then again at Appalachia Visited RR, crossing the line solo. Ryan Collins is 4th at Appalachia, closing out his season with a podium. EE sponsored RBNY team SWEPT the podium at the August 18th Rockleigh race, huge congrats to them on an amazing season! Emma Sherer WINS Millersburg RR with a sprint finish, Melissa Tallent WINS Page Valley RR with a solo breakaway, and Amanda Rinderer solos to the finish for the top spot at Jersey Devil RR. Impressive performances from the EE ladies!! Speaking of EE ladies, Lauren Dagostino laid down a siiiick race at Iron Hill, catching and staying with the lead break, finishing 11th in a stacked field.

And the Elite Endurance TT crew continues to represent down to the wire this season with Baris Aytin finishing 3rd in the TT at Millersburg. At Kingwood, Brian Norling was 2nd in the men’s open, while EE ladies Gabrielle Czernik and Andy Maher were 4th and 5th in the women’s open. Amanda Rinderer and Leisha Jackucewicz took 1st and 5th in the women’s 4 race. Leo Baird WINS the Juniors 15-16 race!  Mark Curran was 4th 35+ and Chris Dawson was 4th in the open 4/5 race. Finally, at Flanders, EE athletes all had strong finishes: Brian Norling 4th in men’s open,  Andy Maher 5th  in women’s open, Chris Dawson 9th in 4/5 open, and Mark Curran 4th in the 35+ race.

And last but not least, never to be outdone, EE Triathletes Jesse O’Donnell and Gabrielle Czernik WIN Old Forge Tri!!
