I ended up having an amazing race and stayed in the lead the whole time. After that race I made the decision to move up to Cat 1.”

Funny Racing Memory: “I was racing the Rattling Creek 25 mile Mountain bike race in PA. It was towards the end of the race and there was a technical section that had guys giving hand ups of beer. I was able to ride the section while drinking a beer and it felt amazing but 2 miles down the trail I started cramping up and cramped so bad in one section that I couldn’t unclip from my bike and I just tipped over. At the time it was not funny but looking back I laugh.”

Greatest Racing Moment: “Winning 2013 SOS MTN Bike Challenge at Stewart State Forest. The whole race I was battling with second place. It was pouring and near the end of the race my chain popped off and the girl in second passed me. I quickly put my chain back on and tried with everything I had left to catch her. I caught up to her and passed her winning by only a couple seconds. It was the best feeling ever.”

Worst Injury from Racing: “I was racing at Kittatinny in 2014 and I had just came through the feed zone for my 2nd lap. I had one hand on the handle bars and was putting my new water bottle in my bottle cage. They warned us at the beginning of the race to NOT go far left because there were holes. In the heat of the moment I was not thinking and was cranking away on my bike. All of a sudden I hit one of the holes and went flying 15 feet. I tacoed my front wheel and banged my leg and knee up. I had to DNF the race.”
