Laura Slavin is a professional mountain biker for Yeti Cycles hailing from Vernon, NJ.

Laura picked up a flat bar hybrid in the Spring of 2013 as a way to get some exercise and be more environmentally friendly while commuting to work. That one, seemingly insignificant decision would be the major influencing factor in every decision made thereafter and would propel her life in an entirely new direction. The flat bar commuter turned into a mountain bike, which almost immediately turned into a mountain bike race. Receiving her UCI Elite license for cross country mtb only 1 year later, she has gone on to race all over the United States posting impressive results both locally and Nationally. From her inception into the sport of mountain biking to present, she has raced professionally in five different disciplines.

Among her career highlights, Slavin is the two time New Jersey State Champion for Women’s Professional Cross Country (2016 & 2017), a former factory XC team racer (2017), two Sea Otter pro field top 10’s, and has accrued countless pro podiums across multiple mountain bike disciplines, from XC to Enduro to Downhill racing.

Off the bike, Laura is a USAC certified coach at Elite Endurance Training Systems where she specializes in adapting traditional training principles to the specific demands of mountain biking. In 2018 she founded the Youth Sponsorship program at Elite Endurance in an effort to give merit-based sponsorship and opportunity to promising junior athletes.
