This week is going to be a long one. I origially wanted to do a mountain bike ride on Sunday, maybe to Allaire or something, but I think I’m going to do an endurance ride instead. I need to stick to the plan, stan. I want to build up an enormous base of miles. This is something I’ve never done before. Last year, I was working 7-6 and could barely ride. This winter, I got de-railed a bit for several reasons.
So far this winter, everything’s been good. I’m healthy, uninjured, and most importantly mega motivated. I took some time off in mid-October to refuel, and I’ve been in endurance/gym mode for over a month now. The numbers look good and I look forward to a long week of steady riding. I absolutely feel stronger during these endurance rides (as I reel those watts back!!!).
This week I’m going to do weights, 3 long endurance rides, one mellow tempo session, and a day of short sprints. We’ll see how it goes.
